"JASON'S SONG"

IN LOVING MEMORY OF JASON

3~17~1981~2~19~2001

This song was written and recorded
by Michael Peace as a tribute to Jason.
Michael, we thank you from the bottom of
our hearts. This is the ultimate tribute
to Jason. For those of you that don't know,
Jason loved oldies and worked at a small
local radio station that featured oldies.
This song really tells Jason's story well.
I know He is smiling down from Heaven.

Verse 1
Jason always loved his music
From back when he was just eight years old.
He could tell you all about the singers
And all of the records they sold.

Verse 2
I never really got to know him
But now somehow I feel like I do.
He was just a voice on my radio
Playing all the old songs that I knew.

Verse 3
I heard his Momma talking about him
And how his heart gave out in his sleep.
On a cold February morning
I felt the chill and started to weep

Chorus
Ain't it something how a life can touch you
Even though you weren't even there
And it's always the good ones who leave us too soon
The ones who really do give a care.
Guitar Solo

Verse 4
I knew that he was young he was only nineteen
But he was gone in a blink of an eye
I never really got to know him
And I never got to tell him good-bye.

Chorus
Ain't it something how a life can touch you
Even though you weren't even there
And it's always the good ones who leave us too soon
The ones who really do give a care

Repeat Chorus Softer
Outro
Jason always loved his music
From back when he was just eight years old
